We wish all the best to Bring It On on their opening night, which is starting their limited Broadway engagement at the St James Theater tonight. Previews started last month.

The show has music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda (In the Heights), Tom Kitt (Next to Normal), and Amanda Green (High Fidelity), with a book by Jeff Whitty (Avenue Q).  It premiered in Atlanta in January 2011, and had a national tour in November and December 2011.

Alex Lacamoire, who was the music supervisor and co-orchestrator In The Heights, is the music supervisor of the production. The music director is Dave Pepin, who before Bring It On had played keyboards and/or conducted Wicked, The Addams Family Musical, and Shrek. Kurt Crowley, after being the conductor of the 2nd National Tour of In The Heights, now holds the associate conductor and keyboard chair position.
